Updated: Sep 17

The beginning of the 2024-2025 school year was marked by the launch of these two Projects; Distance Education and EDUCA-TV, two giant projects of the Ministry of Secondary Education, MINESEC, sponsored by UNESCO. The launch took place at the premises of the Distance Learning Centre, on Monday the 9th of September 2024. This occasion was graced by the presence of the Prime Minister, Dr. Dion Ngute, representing the Head of State, the Minister of Secondary Education, Pr. Nalova Lyonga, and the Director General of UNESCO, Audrey Azoulay.

EDUCA TV

EducaTV is a television channel exclusively dedicated to teaching and learning whose programming consists of a mix of formal educational programs, also called EducaTV Academy and non-formal education programs, also called EducaTV Generation.

Distance Education

Distance Education is an e-learning platform of MINESEC which contains lessons in the form of short, recorded videos following the national syllabus. There is also an innovative new educational App, the Virtual Laboratory, designed to enhance practical learning experience at Distance Education, accessible through the address

During the launch at the center, the Virtual Laboratory, was showcased through the presentation of a Chemistry lesson, depicting the features of this Virtual Laboratory, highly needed by the education community.

There now exists some degree of Diversity and Inclusion in the Cameroonian Classrooms since the integration of Digitalization by MINESEC two years ago in the teaching, learning and evaluation process. MINESEC is doing its best to ensure that STEM concepts and practices, and the Distance Education resources, are accessible to all individuals of diverse abilities and learning differences to ensure that all users have equal learning opportunities. We should therefore aim to ensure that science and mathematics are accessible, engaging, and meaningful for all students.

As educators, we should all strive to make education accessible to every learner, regardless of their background or circumstances.
